Maybe it's a good thing...I don't know. When we moved to Georgetown we (James and I) decided to get rid of our dog, Packer. It was a difficult decision but it was the best for our family. We figured if we were going to get rid of Packer then we should go ahead and do it with the move thinking that was the least confusing for Cason. I think he asked about him for 2 days and then never mentioned him again. We have a lot of pictures of our sweet dog...so when Cason is looking through albums I try to skip those pages not knowing what questions I might have to answer. Yesterday, I wasn't paying attention and he saw a picture(below) and said..."look, I'm in there with a dog." It made me kinda sad that he didn't remember Packer because he did like to love on him...but maybe it's best because I've had this fear that he would see a picture and then ask alot of questions about where Packer is and why he isn't here, etc. Have a great weekend everybody.

"Einkeins and cinnamon rolls, YEEHAH!"
I love the funny things that come out of Cason's mouth these days. He is hillarious! That is another reason I am blogging. Maybe this will help me keep up with the funny things he says since I can't seem to remember to write them anywhere else. Everyone with kids know that there is something almost every day that really should be written down because even though everytime I think there is no way I'll forget that...I've forgotten by the next day. So you may see alot of Cason quotes on here because I think it's my way to record it somewhere. Anyway, yesterday we were driving home and Cason said "when we get home I want to watch Einkeins(Little Einsteins). Later down the road he says "when we get home I want a Cinnamon roll(we had just bought some at the store so they were on his mind). So then he says "Einkeins and cinnamon rolls, Yeehah!" I just thought it was so funny-it was so out of the blue and nothing that we or he has said before. Of course then he kept repeating it because I laughed so hard.

Summer Has Begun
We are having so much fun around here. It is summer for us because preschool ended last week and it's really hot! So we have already started doing some fun summer things. There is nothing more fun than watching your kids have fun! I absolutely love watching them have fun. Our friends bought this wonderful water slide and the boys love it! They have played on it a couple times now. Last summer Cason would not touch moving water-he would not even run through a sprinkler. He has always enjoyed the water and he has loved the pool every summer. He hated the ocean and last summer he wouldn't get near moving water. Things have changed because he didn't blink twice when our friends blew this thing up he climbed to the top, slid down, splashed into the water, and then continued to do it over and over again...no matter how wet his face got or who splashed him. OO think he's laughing in every picture I took. YEAH! I feel like we've conquered a fear! Carter is also loving the water. That is no surprise because Carter is not afraid of ANYTHING. We went to a birthday party this weekend at a sprinkler park, water coming from above, water sprouting from the ground, both boys loved it! I am so excited about the summer and all the fun things we can find to do around here to stay busy and enjoy the outdoors.

REFRESHED
This past weekend was refreshing! As parents, James and I needed a little time away. Besides an occasional dinner out we had not really "been away" since Carter was born (he will soon be 15 months). So we decided to take a trip to SIX FLAGS ARLINGTON. We had a great day! We enjoyed being ourselves and not having to worry about the boys and having our own schedule. Meanwhile the boys were having a day away of their own at Minnie and Papa's (James' parents). They were able to go fishing, go to Lions Park, and Chucky Cheese. We all had a great day and then had a great family day on Saturday in Gatesville.
Blogging
I can't believe it either! I never would have thought that I would be a blogger! The thing is I have kids, and my kids have grandparents and great parents who can not see them every day. Blogging is my solution. Now family, and friends who are family can see moments from our daily lives that they wouldn't see otherwise. I hope it doesn't bore you to tears...it probably won't be that exciting for you unless you truly love our family, because that is who this is for.
