I kept up with this really well in the beginning but then the holidays hit. WOW! It was crazy. I don't think we've stopped since October. It's been a great time and I've loved doing all kinds of fun things with the kids. I love seeing their reactions to all the holiday events like Christmas lights, parades, Thanksgiving Feasts, Christmas morning, and all the other wonderful things that go along with the season.
Cason has really grown up over the past few months. First of all he has gotten taller but he also has gotten so verbal. It's so fun to listen to him talk and the funny things he comes up with keep us rolling in laughter. I love my kids! They keep me busy but they make life so much fun!
Here's the rundown of what's gone on lately. I'm going to write this short and sweet, post some pics and consider myselft caught up so I can move along to the new year where I will try to post every Friday! We'll see how that plan goes. I am also really behind on organizing pictures and my scrapbooks. I do the boys scrapbooks from birthday to birthday and since Cason's birthday is coming up I have four weeks to get all caught up. So I really just need to get my whole life organized!
Short and sweet run-down to catch you up on our life since October.
In November I turned 31! I thought that was a little tougher than 30!
For Thanksgiving the boys had their feast at preschool, we stayed in town and were able to help out with some local food drive events, and for our meal James fried a turkey for the first time and we ate at his Dad's house. It was delicious!
Somewhere in there Carter got his first haircut...and he was awesome! I'm really not sure he's ever sat that still. James' sister, Bethany, cut it for us and she was as nervous as we were about how he would do...but he surprised us all!
In December I had a couple of Cason and Carter's friends over to decorate Christmas cookies and make little pizzas. It was so much fun and I plan to make it a tradition. We, of course, went to see Santa...Cason ran to him and jumped in his lap...Carter just stood in front of him and babbled at him...at least he wasn't screaming. We had several holiday dinners and parties that we attended scattered all over the month. We went with our friends, The Brunelles, to SIX FLAGS during Holiday in the park. They have a daughter that is Casons age. They had so much fun! The boys had their Christmas Program at preschool....and of course they did not actually sing and to top it off I got to sit on stage with Carter. Then it was time for our CHRISTMAS CRAZE as I like to call it. On December 18 we had our first Christmas with family and on the 27th we had our last one. There were 6 in all. We were gone from home for a week. We had a wonderful time and although it was tiring and all four of us were ready to be in our own home...we feel so blessed to have so much family and are so thankful that they are all close enough to visit. We celebrated New Years with the Brunelles....and here we are...ready to start a new year....thankful to God for each moment He has blessed us with....and looking forward to whatever the future holds. Enjoy the pictures! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday as well. (I know that doesn't flow very well and is very badly written but at least I can consider myself caught up)
