Pumpkin Patch

Carter in the haystack.
Cason on the haystack.
You are supposed to ride the pumpkins, right?
Cason's masterpiece.

Today, we were able to go to a Pumpkin Patch that is not far from here. We had such a great day. James sister, Laura, was able to go with us and that made it even more special! I know I say it over and over but I love watching my kids have fun and experience new things. We went to the pumpkin patch last year, too, but last year Carter spent the entire time in the stroller and this year he got to run around. Carter actually ran out of energy a little earlier than Cason so he didn't paint a pumpkin but they both had such a great time. When I put Cason to bed he said his favorite part was the hayride and the "train"(this little kid train pulled by a tractor-so cute!). That sort of surprised me since from the moment we got there he was ready to paint a pumpkin. The place we go has animals to pet, a hay maze, some little games, a playscape, a hayride, food, pumpkins to buy and paint, and some other stuff that our kids can't do yet. We had a great time....enjoy the pics! (It was really hard to choose from the 84 pics we took-but most of you will get an email where you will be forced to look at all of them!)

Lately

The last time I posted was about almost exactly a month ago. Now, preschool is in full swing and the boys are doing great! Carter has finally decided there is no need to cry in the morning...and I can hear him laughing in the hall during transition times! YEAH! I am so glad he is finally adjusting. He has turned this huge corner in the past 2 weeks. Mostly our life lately has just been the regular...church, church events, playdates with friends, preschool, and back in our list this fall-FOOTBALL. James is definitely enjoying his new job. Cason also thinks Daddy's new job is very cool. Carter doesn't have a clue and can NOT sit through a football game. I gave him a chance week before last....let's just say he's not going again for a while. Everything is going great, the weather is finally turning fallish, and our calender for the season keeps getting fuller! I LOVE this season. I love the weather, I love all the fun activities that go with the season(especially now that I have children to share them with), and I love all the traditional holiday stuff and of course all the baking! I hope you are enjoying the start of the holiday season, too.
